About the book

What this book is — and what it has to do with your today

A 5000-year-old narrative in today's language. Not a sermon, not ritual — just one question: where does the Bhagavata answer what is troubling you now?

Twelve Skandas, forty questions about living, one simple thread

“Shrimad Bhagavata Katha — A Complete Anusheelan” is a sequential study of all twelve Skandas of the Shrimad Bhagavata. Each Skanda is read three ways: its original narrative, its central question, and its practical meaning.

The book is written with full respect for the classical tradition, but its language is meant for a reader who has never opened the Bhagavata before. No weight of Sanskrit — only clarity of reference.

How it is written

A way of reading built for any background

A way of reading built for any background

  1. 01

    Story first

The passage in plain language — the way someone would tell it to you.

  2. 02

    Then meaning

What the passage is actually about, without moralising.

  3. 03

    Then today

Which decision, relationship or fear in your life that meaning speaks to.

  4. 04

    Reference kept

Skanda and chapter cited throughout, so the deeper route stays open.

Mythology and modern life

Ancient narrative, present problem — this is where they meet

This is the lens the launch event did not get to cover. A few examples:

Ancient narrative, present problem — this is where they meet

  • Anxiety and overthinking

The Uddhava Gita — release the outcome, take up the duty.

  • Broken trust in relationships

From the gopis' longing to Rukmini's letter — love held with dignity.

  • Confusion about career and purpose

Kapila and Devahuti — decisions clear once ‘who am I’ is asked.

  • Ego, comparison and fear of failure

Prahlada and Dhruva — where the strength to stand comes from.

  • Death, loss and grief

Parikshit's final week — how to live inside limited time.

How would you like to begin

Two routes — start wherever feels right

No order is required. Both routes lead to the same book.

Two routes — start wherever feels right

Route one

I want the core narrative — the Skandas and chapters

  • The sequence of the twelve Skandas and the central passage of each.
  • Story, characters and references — foundations upward.

Route two

I want an answer to a problem I have today

  • Forty problems across seven categories — mind, relationships, work, fear.
  • Start from whatever hurts right now.
